一、初中英语单词学习中存在的问题分析

1.单词的记忆方法单一

单词的记忆是初中英语学习的必要环节,也是学生心中较为繁重的英语学习任务。就目前的情况来看,许多初中学生在进行词汇的记忆时,往往采取机械式的单词记忆方法,通常较为单一。这就使得记忆过的英语单词在短时间内多次被遗忘,需要再次进行机械记忆。单一的单词记忆方法使得单词的记忆效率不高,质量较差。学生对于单词的遗忘主要表现在音与义联系的模糊以及拼写的错误、单词短语的固定搭配等等。

2.单词的认识不足

英语对于汉语为母语的学生来讲是一门外语,他们对于英语单词的理解并不像对于汉语组词的理解那样全面。许多初中学生认为单词就是字母的组合,将字母等同于汉字的笔画。这样的认识是不尽全面的,这也使得初中学生对于单词的发音规律与拼写规则的运用不佳,不能利用单词音形义之间的关系自然构造英语单词。对于单词认识的不足,使得学生的英语单词学习方法与习惯不尽科学。

3.单词的运用不足

许多初中学生在学习单词的时候,往往将过多的精力放在单词的识记之上。一些初中学生在学习过英语单词之后,不会进行运用。学生只记得单词的形态,不能有效分辨相近的单词。只知道单词的意义,不知道在何种语境下可以进行利用。在日常英语单词学习的过程当中,为了熟悉单词,将单词的拼写与汉语的意义进行结合,只对单词进行表面的理解与处理。在进行单词的运用之时,学生要对单词进行更深层次的处理,许多初中学生在这方面力不从心。

二、加强初中英语单词学习对策分析

1.加强教师业务素质的提高

词汇教学质量的高低,在很大程度上取决于教师业务素质的高低。为了实现初中英语词汇教学的目标,教师应当更好地充实自己的英语知识,提高自身的素质。首先,教师要转变传统的教学思想,不要过分强调单词的记忆,而要将单词的理解与运用环节作为日常英语词汇教学的重点。其次,年轻教师要加强与具有经验的老教师的沟通与交流,了解初中学生的心理与学习特点。教师间更要就词汇教学规律与词汇学习方法进行沟通,帮助学生建立起正确的英语单词学习观念与学习习惯。

2.加强学生学习动机的培养

学习动力是促进学生加强英语单词学习的重要因素,因此,在日常英语教学的过程当中,教师要结合具体的教学内容与学生的学习水平,明确提高学生学习动机的方法。教师要在教学方法与教学活动的设计方面加大力度。在进行课堂教学之前,教师最好将本节课的教学目标与学习目标进行明确的阐述,使学生找到学习的目标。学习目标的清晰度与明确度,直接关系着学生学习动机的程度。

3.利用游戏提高学生的学习兴趣

简单重复的学习活动会使学生的学习兴趣明显降低,要提高初中学生英语单词学习的效率与质量,教师要在英语课堂引入新的元素。游戏是初中学生喜爱的学习方法,利用游戏教学法对学生的学习兴趣进行提高是极为有效的。竞赛是一种有效的游戏教学方法,教师可以利用单词作为竞赛内容,从音、形、义与运用等多个角度对学生进行训练,使学生在短时间之内掌握更多的英语单词知识。在好胜心的引导之下,学生会提高英语单词学习的兴趣。比如在学习body,hand,arm,leg,foot等身体部分的单词之时,教师可以引导学生进行两两分组,一人指着第二人的身体部位,第二人快速进行反应并说出对应的英语单词。两人互换角色,出现错误少的人为最终的获胜者。这样,在融入游戏后,学生会更为自然地进行英语单词的学习,了解单词的音、形、义以及具体应用语境。

三、小结

综上所述,初中英语教学过程中,加强英语单词教学对于学生英语水平的提高具有重要的影响。笔者对初中生英语单词学习中存在的问题进行分析,并提出切实可行的加强对策。希望当代初中英语教师可以认识到英语单词教学的重要性,促进英语单词教学活动的立体化。利用正确的英语单词教学方法,促进学生英语单词水平的提高与英语语言能力的提升。
