我发现巧背英语单词的方法还要从二年级的一个星期六的早晨说起。
“快起来，快起来，”妈妈又在叫我了。
我揉揉眼睛说：“啥事呀？今天可是星期六，你这么一大早叫我起来干吗？让我再睡会儿。”
我妈一听，把眼瞪得大大的，生气地说：“我这么早叫你起来是因为明天我要给你听写，让你起来背英语单词的。”
刚才还睡得迷糊糊的我立马清醒起来，心想：我妈又拿出杀手锏了，我又得早起了。二是，我一骨碌爬起来，开始背英语单词了。
可是这些英语单词可没那么好背，15个由7、8个字母组成的英语单词让我头昏脑涨。每个单词似乎都在跟我作对，我背起来不是漏网这鱼。转眼间三十分钟过去了，我还是一个词都不会背。
这时，我突然起起来，老师曾经说过：“英语有六个原音字母，分别是：ａ、ｅ、ｉ、ｏ、ｕ，老师还告诉我吾这六个原音字母在不同情况下所发的不同的音，我想：每次我背单词总是死记硬背，第二天听写前才去问妈妈单词的读音。说不定我先会读了，单词就会背的更快。”于是，我按照老师教我的拼读法，拼起来。首先，阿攻克的难关就是photograph这个单词。我在心里默念着：“ph发F的音那么，整个单词发起来的读音应该是什么呢？”我把自己的读音念了出来，一听，跟妈妈念的差不多。于是我信心大增，不到五分钟，15个单词我都会读了。
现在我开始背了，因为这些单词我都会背了，其次我在拼读时，对这个单词也熟了，我自己用复读机读了一遍，又根据复读机播放出来的声音听写了一遍。再根据书上一对，哇；我全对了。
最终的结果可想而之，第二天我听写的单词得了满分。当我妈妈问我怎么背英语单词时，我告诉了妈妈我发现的巧背英语单词的方法，妈妈高兴地说：”没错！做事情就要这样，要讲究方法，讲究了方法就一定会成功。”听了妈妈的话，我点了点头。
